How did we get here?

Freedom Investments of Tampa Bay, Inc. was started by Jess Mefford and Rod McIntyre in early 2022. Jess is a licensed Building Contractor and has been in the home construction and remodeling business for 23 years. He and his wife Tara own and manage their business Exquizit Builders, serving the greater Tampa Bay area. Around 2016 Rod and his wife Cindy hired Jess to remodel their kitchen and a bathroom at their home in Dunedin. Pleased with Jess’ high quality of work, excellent prices, and customer service orientation, Rod and Cindy eventually had Jess and his team completely remodel the inside of their home, including providing hurricane windows.

In seeing the need in the Tampa Bay area for quality, affordable housing, Jess and Rod decided to invest in the area by starting Freedom Investments to build homes. Rod’s 16 years of experience in home financing is a perfect fit. By providing financing as well as the finished homes, Jess and Rod can offer quality homes at an attractive price. They are excited about helping and serving the people of Tampa Bay!
